Outcomes Research

UBC is the industry leader in outcomes research. Our experts evaluate the impact of diseases and medical interventions – such as biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostic technologies – on health outcomes.

We combine a unique portfolio of scientific disciplines, including health sciences, psychometrics, epidemiology, psychology, as well as other social sciences, to measure patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and evaluate the measurement qualities of PROs. We also develop studies to evaluate symptoms, measure health-related quality of life, and evaluate treatment satisfaction and patient preference. Our work helps identify and clarify unmet clinical needs, assess burden of illness and evaluate patient outcomes, preference and/or compliance, while supporting promotional and labeling claims.

UBC scientists, strategists, and technicians collaborate with clients to design a research that is best-suited to address the research question – from concept development through platform selection and instrument design.
